I love reading these surveys on blogs, so here it goes!
1) What is one of your favorite ways to spend a saturday?
Wake up and make a big breakfast of blueberry pancakes and an omelet with peppers and cheese. Go out in town with my family and shop around, go to lunch, and play at a park. Come home for a home cooked meal and some delious dessert (froyo or homemade cookies). Why are weekends so short??
2) List your top 3 favorite TV shows
Friends: best show of all time. hands down. I own all 10 seasons and have watched them all countless times. You don’t want to challenge me in Scene It Friends Edition
Modern Family: Cam makes that show. I love him!
Revenge: its a new show this season that I have really gotten into.
3) Would you rather be in pictures or take them?
This is hard. I guess if someone else knew exactly what i wanted to capture then I would say be in them. Sometimes I will go a month or two of taking pictures of my family before I realize I haven’t been in a single one.
4) Why do you blog?
Well I just started this blog in order to have an outlet to the outside world. As a stay at home mom, it can be isolating at times and there are days that go by where I don’t speak to an adult. I am hoping to get involved in the blogging community and have “conversations” through my comment sections, email, etc.
5) Five websites you view regularly
facebook, email, blogs, google, restaurant or food product sites for allergy information (since we are tree nut free)
6) If you could have lunch with one person from your twitter list who would it be?
Well I don’t have a twitter account so i guess this question is N/A
7) List a few of your favorite snacks
greek yogurt, apples and peanut butter, string cheese, trail mix…great, now I’m hungry.
8)Do you have a pet? If so, what kind?
I have a dog, Brody. He is a lab and shepard mix. He is almost 7 and is truely the best dog ever, if only he didn’t shed endlessly!
9) Which 3 material possesions would you struggle to live without?
iphone (which is funny because before August when I got it, I only ever had the free phone that came with your plan and it didn’t even have text messaging!)
sweatpants. Not cute tight yoga pants from lululemon. I’m talking oversized, huge, unacctrative sweatpants. Comfiest things ever and what I’m actually wearing at the moment.
Rainbow flip flips. If its above 60 degrees or between the months of Feb-Nov (no matter the temperature) I will have them on.
10) Whats your favorite drink
water. I know boring. But if i drink anything else, I feel like i get dehydrated then i have to play catch up and drink even more water. Also with breastfeeding I lose 35 ounces of water a day so I need to drink my 8 glasses plus 5 more that I will lose through milk production.
I do enjoy decaf coffee but usually only drink about 1/2 a cup.
11)Do you enjoy cooking?
yes, i actually love it. I don’t love deciding what to cook aka meal planning. But i love to cook and bake.
12)Do you have children?
yes, 2 girls. I have a sweet and sassy 3 year old Alyssa and a laid back lovey 5 month old Cassidy. My world revolves around them (probably a little too much).
13) What are your hobbies?
sewing and crafts: I make smocked dresses for the girls, cloth diapers for the baby, hair bows, crochetting, etc…yes I am a grandma I know
and my newest hobby is blogging!
14)Would you consider yourself shy or outgoing?
A little of both I think. I am generally outgoing but I have a shy side too.
15)If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I am a little arguementative. Dave may disagree with the “little” part. I’ve gotten a lot better though since getting married.
16)Who is your favorite actor/actress?
I don’t really have one. Romantic comedies are my movie of choice though. Gotta love a good mindless chick flick.
17)Whats the coolest thing you’ve done this week?
I asked Dave if I did anything cool this week He said “worked out with my marine husband and kicked his butt”. We worked out together while the girls napped on Sunday. First we did Jillians 30 minute yoga meltdown and then did an hour of 5 min treadmill running intervals. I ran for 5 min while he lifted then we switched. We did this for 50 minutes and covered a little over 6 miles (we didn’t stop the treadmill in between so we could just hop on and off). I workout by myself at home and haven’t been to a gym in ages. I miss having others around while I workout, its so motivating. I may be slightly competitive.
18) Do you live near your family or far from them?
Unfortunately I live far from my family. About a 6 1/2 hour drive. Since Dave is in the marine corps we move whereever they tell us to and we move often. At least we are a car ride away at the moment, first time ever! I so wish I had “Mimi” to babysit once in a while!
19)List 3 of your talents
Knowing how to prevent a 3 year old from throwing a fit and calming an infant
beating Dave at any small game. Scrabble, mini golf, card games, etc. He always says “well lets go play basketball”. True, he would school me at basketball, he is almost a foot taller than me!
sewing. Its sort of a lost art of our generation. I need to go hang out with my grandmom and her friends, I do eat dinner at 5 pm so it might just work out well.
20) What is your greatest attribute?
Taking care of my family. I truely put my girls and husband before myself. I actually think I should be a little more selfish at times and carve time out for myself. But thats what naptime is for i guess and the new blog!
